When it comes to bathroom accessories, the wastebasket may be the least exciting. It’s a necessary evil though. I’m a fan of lidded bathroom wastebaskets, especially in a guest or powder bath. It keeps things looking tidy and clean. The idea of hiding trash under a lid is much more appealing than seeing the trash and the plastic bag liner in an open wastebasket.

In our recent powder room remodel I used a chrome lidded bathroom wastebasket to tie in with the other chrome bathroom accessories, #2 below. I thought I’d round up some other lidded bathroom wastebaskets and encourage you to get a cute lidded wastebasket if you don’t already have one.

I love the texture a woven lidded wastebasket gives a bathroom. In our powder room, I sourced a vintage basket that serves as a toilet paper holder, otherwise I would have went with a woven wastebasket.
