Happy Friday, Friends! It’s a long weekend, so you know what that means…SALES!

Here’s some info on a few President’s Day sales from some of my fave stores and brands.

  • Target is doing up to 30% off home items + an extra 15% off rugs with promo code GEORGE. Valid 2/18-2/19. I’ve got my eye on this outdoor sofa.
  • Lulu and Georgia is offering 15% off all purchases under $500, and 20% off all orders of $500+ through Tuesday, 2/20. They have a bunch of new arrivals, like this rug that I love!
  • World Market is doing 15% off plus free shipping over $150 through FEB 19th and 50% of ALL rugs!!!

Weekly Recap

The weather is warming up and the pups are taking advantage!

As a result of the warmer weather, I’ve got outdoor entertaining on the brain. I am DYING to get the back patio cleared of all hubby’s tools and guy stuff so I can make it pretty! I’m itching to have dinner outdoors before the Florida summer heat sets in – which happens well before summer, by the way. I have made a few changes to the patio mood board since I shared it in the 2018 project list post so I’ll share all the details and the direction I’m headed on patio decor soon!

I’ve been working on a yoga/meditation/reading room for a client and did part one of install last week. Here’s how her reading nook is shaping up. She is a cat mom so the meditating cat on the shelf was a win! Stay tuned for more on that project.

My friend Hannah’s home was featured on Design Sponge this week and I’m so happy for her and so in love with her beautiful home. Check out the feature and give Hannah a follow on Instagram. She’s a designer, lover of scandi-minimalism and has an online shop.

I did a little fireplace styling this week and I’m happy to report that since re-painting the fireplace white, I’m hating it a lot less. We still need to trim down that mantel, which is currently half of a tree (hah!) but making it more streamline will help I think. I love the look of the neutral woven basket and vintage can against the white rock. The fireplace tool set, Java butt and greenery from a tree in my backyard finish off the look!

In other news, my birthday was this week and hubby surprised me with a new laptop and tickets to the Design Bloggers Conference in LA in just a couple short weeks! (Know anyone else who’s going?) I’m pretty excited to attend, some of my faves in the design/blogging world will be speaking and in attendance. Can’t wait to mingle with other bloggers and meet some of my idols! I’ll undoubtedly share some insights while I’m there and will blog about my experience when it’s all said and done.

Happy long weekend, friends!

        1. I don’t recall but nothing special! It is a temporary solution for us to hold us over until we can redo the fireplace but it’s held up well. We did prime first – but only half way up once we realized how much work it was haha!
