Summer is coming to an end and all the new fall home decor collections are dropping. From Target to Crate and Barrel, I’m sharing some of my favorites. Fall is my favorite, my home is decorated for fall all year-round because I gravitate toward warm earthy tones so it’s easy to incorporate a few things and make it feel cozy for the season. I’m so ready for fall and am definitely over this Florida heat. I can’t wait to light a fire and make some cider!

I am loving some of the new cozy textiles and patterns this season. I’ve seen some tweed, which reminds me of our recent trip to Scotland. Muted and neutral-colored pumpkins top my list and terra-cotta tones and textures round out some of my favorites.… Read more
Did you guys see my Old World style Christmas tree reveal yesterday? I mentioned that I wanted to incorporate some textured globe ornaments in a muted, earth-toned color pulling from the wrapping paper that I ordered.
Isn’t the paper gorgeous? Unfortunately, it didn’t arrive in time for my Christmas tree reveal but it’s on the way. Anyway, I thought it would be really pretty to trim the tree with globe ornaments that pull from one of the deep tones in the paper. I couldn’t find what I wanted so I made my own DIY textured globe ornaments.
DIY Textured Globe Ornaments
I bought large and medium-sized shatterproof globe ornaments, removed the hook from the top and hung them from a string outside. I wanted them to have some texture so we painted them with orange peel wall texture, set to the heavy spray setting.
After the spray texture was dry, we painted with Rust-Oleum metal primer because the shade was perfect for what I was going for. After that dried, we re-attached the globe ornament hooks, and voila!… Read more
Hi friends! It’s the most wonderful time of the year! I love participating in the Christmas tree blog hop hosted by my friend Stephanie over at Casa Watkins Living. (Click here to see what I did last year.) I think this year’s tree is my favorite yet! If you’re coming over from Roxanne at The Honeycomb Home, welcome and thanks for being here!
Old World Style Christmas Tree
When considering how to decorate our tree this year, I wanted to lean into the color scheme of our home and carry it through the tree trimmings. If you follow along on Instagram, then you know that I first decided to paint some of our bright white globe ornaments a more muted khaki color. Then I stumbled upon these candle ornaments and was inspired to try an Old World style Christmas tree this year.

3. Slippers You can’t ever go wrong with slippers and I love this suede version.
4. Apple HomePod Mini We recently invested in the HomePod and a few mini versions to put around our house. We struggle with acoustics because of the openness of our home but these babies have helped tremendously! I love that you can play music in the entire house or if you want to play something different in another room, you can do that too.
5. Cheese Knives Because who doesn’t love cheese?
It’s that time of year! I’m excited to be participating in the My Home Style Christmas Tree Blog Hop again this year hosted by my friend Stephanie. If you’re hopping over from Tag & Tibby, welcome! A total of 30 bloggers shared a variety of Christmas tree looks! Each blogger and their Christmas tree blog post is linked at the end so please hop around. This year I brought in some drama and added black accents to create an edgy farmhouse Christmas tree. Let’s get into it!
Black & Green Edgy Farmhouse Christmas Tree
We have a 12′ mixed needle Christmas tree from the At Home store. This tree really calls for some large bulb ornaments so I used my existing white glitter ones and added smaller ornaments in black, white and green.
Black velvet ribbon adds a little drama and edge to the tree but I balanced it with white ornaments, white snowflake ribbon and some wood-toned ornaments.
