PRETTY ST. PATRICK’S DAY INSPIRATION

Pretty + St. Patrick’s Day? YES, FOLKS! St. Patrick’s Day entertaining doesn’t have to be filled with cheesy decorations, it can be pretty too! Even to those who don’t like shamrock green. You be the judge. Check out this pretty St. Patrick’s Day inspiration I whipped up.

Pretty St. Patrick’s Day Inspiration

Can we talk about this watercolor shamrock stationery? So soft and pretty and it set the perfect tone for our concept! I love the idea of incorporating stationery for any gathering you are hosting. It makes the event feel more special and if you everyone loves receiving something in the mail. When ordering stationery, think beyond the invitation and integrate it into the evening as well. We knew we would have an Irish whiskey bar, so our genius stationery designer designed a custom card for the bar. If you have a variety of drinks or desserts, labeling them with custom cards that coordinate with the invitations is a great way to make the event cohesive.  For the tablescape I started with a soft linen runner along the center of the table. I added a large urn in the middle and worked in medium and small floral arrangements out from there to create a tapered look. Here’s a hint: if you only have the budget for one or two floral arrangements, purchase some loose flowers and make smaller arrangements on your own.
The place settings featured felt shamrock place mats under a cut glass plate and the menu and minty green linen napkin resting on top. Gold flatware and vintage green goblets finished it off.  We kept the floral arrangements soft and simple with white flowers and greenery. No St. Patrick’s Day gathering is complete without a green drink. Mine just happens to be made with bubbly.
Coordinating place cards are always a nice touch.
Even a pretty St. Patrick’s Day gathering can have an Irish whiskey bar. For my self-serve whiskey bar, I picked out a few different whiskey’s (making sure they were color coordinated haha) added crystal rocks glasses (including some Irish Waterford crystal ones that were gifted to me) and a hammered gold ice bucket from Target. I love this ice bucket and have the matching tray! #winning
Let them eat cake! Le Creuset’s palm colored cake stand was perfect for our pretty St. Patrick’s Day entertaining concept. I created a cake station by stacking a wood crate on top of a wood chest, added a floral arrangement, a stack of plates and utensils.
I’ll be hosting a GIVEAWAY for the cake stand on Instagram so be sure to enter! You guys know we can’t do anything around here without the Daly doggies!

  1. This is by far my favorite of all your holiday settings. Everything looks beautiful–such a nice change from cheesy pub décor.

  2. This is so pretty! I’m not a huge fan of green but this looks fantastic. I would probably find a way to incorporate blush pink flowers if I was doing this!
