Our Farmhouse Floor Plan

I have had a lot of requests to see the layout of our home so I’m finally sharing our farmhouse floor plan. I don’t know why it took me so long, but here is everything you want to know about how our home is situated.

Our farmhouse sits on nearly 4 acres just outside of Tampa. It is 3700 square feet and has 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. The home was bank-owned prior to our purchase. It had been vacant for a couple of years and was very sad and run-down. For more on the exterior evolution of the home including what it looked like when we first saw it, check out these posts:

The house is a 1.5 level home. There is a second story but only a partial second story. The great room opens to the second level and you can see the downstairs from the upstairs. The master is downstairs and we have two additional bedrooms, each with their own bath, upstairs. In addition to the extra two bedrooms, we also have a bonus/flex room upstairs. The fireplace is dual-sided (the chimney has two flues) so the upstairs bonus room has its own fireplace.

The house has a lot of natural light. We have about 44 windows in total! There are two staircases to access the upstairs, one by the dining room and one by the front door. The great room is the center of the home and has a ceiling height of 22′.

The two sets of french doors on either side of the fireplace in the great room lead to the back patio.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a garage. We plan to do a big extension eventually and add a garage with a finished upstairs that can be accessed via a breezeway off of the side door. Above the garage, we plan to add a fourth bedroom, an additional full bathroom and extra living space. It will be a while, but that’s the plan.

  1. Oh my goodness, your home is dreamy! We are in the process of building a home and I would LOVE these floor plans. Do you have actual floor plans, or just the drawing? If not, I can see if an architect can draw them up. It’s so beautiful!
