Fall is my favorite! The crisp weather, terra-cotta and earthy hues, pumpkin everything, I live for it. I thrive in fall and our home accepts fall decor so well because it’s basically my decor palate year-round. I didn’t get too wild with fall home decor this year, but I did add a few touches around the house and I thought I’d share.
Fall Home Decor
I always start with seasonal decor on the porch. Our home has a lovely wrap-around porch and I love to spruce it up and decorate the entry stoops. For our main entry, I used corn husks attached to the posts framing our front door and added a few mums, pumpkins and fall wreaths from Target a few years ago. In October I put the skeletons out and simply remove them after Halloween.
For our side door, I layered the cutest “hope you brought wine” doormat over a buffalo check indoor/outdoor rug. I love to decorate for fall with heirloom pumpkins. Little did I know my chickens would enjoy them for a snack!
Inside the house, I replaced greenery with fall-hued faux stems and sprinkled mini pumpkins (real and faux) around the living room, kitchen and even the powder room.
I purchased this fringed cognac striped rug, the perfect addition to our front entryway.
I re-styled the floating shelves in the kitchen and made a simple wreath to hang from my pot filler.
Look how cute this wood tray turned out! I used a vintage brass pitcher filled with faux stems, a candle and a white pumpkin.
Even the powder room isn’t off-limits for fall home decor. I kept it simple, adding a vase of wheat stems and a fall candle on the back of the toilet and a small ceramic pumpkin on the mirror shelf.
