I am sorry for being MIA the last few weeks but sometimes life happens. My family recently suffered an unfortunate event. My father-in-law, a great man, passed away after a battle with ALS. While he was sick, we thought we had more time with him then we ended up having. It’s very sad but we’re all trying to find joy in the memories we have with him. He always read my blog and so I wanted to just say a few words about him here.

Frederick Michael Daly was his full name, but I always called him “Mr. Fred” because when I first met him when my now hubby and I were in high school, “Mr. Daly” felt too formal but “Fred” too informal so that’s where I landed. He was the most patriotic person I ever met. He spent time in the Army during Vietnam and always flew an American flag in his yard. He was very thorough in everything he did.  Our Anniversary Session

A few months ago hubby and I celebrated our third anniversary. In honor of the day, we had Anniversary photos done. We chose a Bali-inspired theme for our anniversary shoot to honor the place we got engaged. Experiencing Bali was amazing in itself, but to have gotten engaged on a mountain while visiting the Island of the Gods, well that’s just a dream. I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our anniversary than a Bali inspired photoshoot.

Having styled many photoshoots, I wanted to style our engagement shoot myself, and boy was that tough! It was my first time being the stylist and the subject and it wasn’t without hiccups but it was a great experience and I definitely learned a lot, to say the least. Huge shout out to my friend and our photographer Ashlee who not only captured the occasion flawlessly but also picked up some of my slack when I was late for hair and makeup. 🙂

Inspired by Utah’s Desert Mountain Vibes

If you follow me on Instagram then you know I’m in Utah right now. Hubby had to take a short trip to Salt Lake City so naturally, I insisted I join him and we make a trip out of it. We met up in Vegas and hit the road to Utah to explore Bryce and Zion National Parks and we will end with a couple of days in Sin City. I had never been to Utah and after spending a lot of time planning our trip, I am so so excited about it. You just don’t see anything close to desert mountain landscape in the sunshine state. The scenery and terrain are enough to make my terracotta-loving heart beat a little faster. I’m feeling so inspired by Utah, I decided to put together a desert mountain mood board that reflects my current state of mind. My personal design style favors earthy tones and boho elements so I feel right at home amongst this desert mountain oasis.

Happy Friday, friends! I’m currently in New England for a wedding in RI and a getaway to Martha’s Vineyard. I’m so excited to explore the quaint island and visit its lighthouses, cute shops and restaurants, and of course, the gingerbread cottages.

Heya, friends! I’m starting something new this week. A casual Friday post where I share fun/inspiring/interesting things I stumbled upon during the week or recently, and I’m calling it Friday Finds. Here goes!

First, I cannot get over this eclectic farmhouse tour featured on Coco Kelley. The house is stunning and is the perfect marriage of rustic, modern and boho elements. I love this home tour so much because it emulates what I’m trying to accomplish in the Daly Digs, staying true to the farmhouse style but combining rustic with modern and boho vibes. It’s tough you guys!

I want all of these chairs in the wicker chair roundup Design Sponge did this week! I am a sucker for woven chairs, I love the texture they add to a space. I have two of these Malawi chairs and of course the vintage peacock chair from our guest room. 🙂 P.S.
