Bali Inspired Photoshoot

Bali Inspired Photoshoot

 Our Anniversary Session

A few months ago hubby and I celebrated our third anniversary. In honor of the day, we had Anniversary photos done. We chose a Bali-inspired theme for our anniversary shoot to honor the place we got engaged. Experiencing Bali was amazing in itself, but to have gotten engaged on a mountain while visiting the Island of the Gods, well that’s just a dream. I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our anniversary than a Bali inspired photoshoot.

Having styled many photoshoots, I wanted to style our engagement shoot myself, and boy was that tough! It was my first time being the stylist and the subject and it wasn’t without hiccups but it was a great experience and I definitely learned a lot, to say the least. Huge shout out to my friend and our photographer Ashlee who not only captured the occasion flawlessly but also picked up some of my slack when I was late for hair and makeup. 🙂

Huge thanks to Artfully Wed for featuring our Anniversary shoot!

Here are a few of my faves from the shoot.… Read more

Current Mood (Board): Desert Mountain Vibes

Current Mood (Board): Desert Mountain Vibes

Inspired by Utah’s Desert Mountain Vibes

If you follow me on Instagram then you know I’m in Utah right now. Hubby had to take a short trip to Salt Lake City so naturally, I insisted I join him and we make a trip out of it. We met up in Vegas and hit the road to Utah to explore Bryce and Zion National Parks and we will end with a couple of days in Sin City. I had never been to Utah and after spending a lot of time planning our trip, I am so so excited about it. You just don’t see anything close to desert mountain landscape in the sunshine state. The scenery and terrain are enough to make my terracotta-loving heart beat a little faster. I’m feeling so inspired by Utah, I decided to put together a desert mountain mood board that reflects my current state of mind. My personal design style favors earthy tones and boho elements so I feel right at home amongst this desert mountain oasis.

It’s Fri-YAY!

Happy Friday, friends! I’m currently in New England for a wedding in RI and a getaway to Martha’s Vineyard. I’m so excited to explore the quaint island and visit its lighthouses, cute shops and restaurants, and of course, the gingerbread cottages

Boho Entertaining

As most of you know, I love me a good tablescape. It’s something that has stuck with me from my days of styling weddings and events. I still peruse wedding blogs to keep up with what’s trending and draw inspiration for my own entertaining editorials. This boho bridal shower featured on my favorite wedding blog Green Wedding Shoes is worth checking out! I love the use of textures and florals and the decadence of the food. The styling is on point and this one has me swooning.… Read more

Friday Finds

Heya, friends! I’m starting something new this week. A casual Friday post where I share fun/inspiring/interesting things I stumbled upon during the week or recently, and I’m calling it Friday Finds. Here goes!

First, I cannot get over this eclectic farmhouse tour featured on Coco Kelley. The house is stunning and is the perfect marriage of rustic, modern and boho elements. I love this home tour so much because it emulates what I’m trying to accomplish in the Daly Digs, staying true to the farmhouse style but combining rustic with modern and boho vibes. It’s tough you guys!

I want all of these chairs in the wicker chair roundup Design Sponge did this week! I am a sucker for woven chairs, I love the texture they add to a space. I have two of these Malawi chairs and of course the vintage peacock chair from our guest room. 🙂 P.S. If you guys didn’t see the guest room reveal, check it out here. I’m still so smitten with it.

Studio McGee is one of my favorite designers to follow and these 5 insane before and afters give me hope for the hot mess that is my house.… Read more

THINGS I’M DIGGIN’!

THINGS I’M DIGGIN’!

Heya folks! I’m back today with another edition of Things I’m Diggin’! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve done one of these and I’ve been seeing some pretty great stuff lately – especially as I think about styling out our built-ins (which are still in progress…don’t ask). Also, we’re officially kicking off our guest room makeover next week so stay tuned, it’s gonna be awesome!

  1. You guys, I am alllll about some Kantha lately. Kantha is a type of South Asian embroidery made from stitched together saris and miscellaneous pieces of cloth to make a large piece. Each side is different too, so you really get some bang for your buck with these. The one pictured above from Etsy, but even Amazon has some listed. Kantha pillows are often seen too. I’m thinking of incorporating some of this fun, bright textile into my guest room. 🙂
  2. Am I the only one that has a love affair with Target? I am all heart eyes over their recent global collections. If you follow me on Instagram you already know that I already have one of those orange earthenware wood base planters.

HALLOWEEN RAVEN DIY

HALLOWEEN RAVEN DIY

Hi, friends! It’s the week before Halloween! I love Halloween and typically like to decorate a lot for this holiday, but this year I’m not on the ball because I’ve been a busy little bee creating some great Thanksgiving and Holiday content for you guys! However, I did get festive with our mantel, the only place in the house I decorated for Halloween this year. Next year will be better, I promise.

You guys know the dollar aisle at Target? You know what I’m talking about. I always get in trouble there. A few weeks ago amongst the Halloween decor, I saw a small wood sign with a raven, on a newspaper-like background. I thought it would be a great compliment to the mantel, but it was way too small so I decided to DIY a larger one.

HALLOWEEN RAVEN DIY

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Picture Frame
  • Black felt
  • Craft paper (I used newspaper-looking craft paper from Michaels)
  • Cardboard
  • Glue/Glue stick
  • Chalk
  • Scissors

As we inch toward finishing not one, but TWO rooms in our house, I’m on the hunt for unique home decor and accessories to style out the rooms. I have been scouring the internet, catalogs and storefronts like a mad woman! Well, let’s face it, I am always on the hunt, but its waaaay more fun when you can actually justify your purchases.

Anyway, I decided to start a little series of unique home decor accents I’ve stumbled upon that have caught my eye. Naturally, I decided to call the series “Things I’m Diggin’!” So without further adieu, check out these awesome, unique accessories and get them for your own digs!!

  1. This Milk Bottle Match Striker is everything! I love it and I want like 5 of them. If you’re like us and have candles all over your house, you need this. It is super convenient and adorable. Forget hunting for a lighter every time you want to light a candle. Instead, keep one of these babies right near your candles. Adorbs and effective. #winning
  2. Isn’t this braided pillow AH-mazing??

THE DALY DOGGIES

THE DALY DOGGIES

We are obsessive dog parents. Since our fur babies will undoubtedly make an appearance on the blog from time to time, I thought they should introduce themselves. Here are the Daly Doggies!!

TWIX

Twix the Sheltie

Hi guys, I’m Twix and I’m a sheltie. Don’t I look dapper in that pic? I was in mommy and daddy’s wedding and I took my role very serious. Mommy tells our friends that she picked me from the litter because I was the quiet, chill puppy in the back of the cage, and when my brothers and sisters were all in her face, she decided on me. I’m 7 years old and recently the vet said I needed a “senior panel” since I’m getting older. This made mommy and daddy sad since they don’t like to admit I’m a senior now. I don’t feel middle-aged though and I still run around chasing things like I did when I was a pup. I do not like loud things like thunder and fireworks. I get super nervous, I shake and I jump up on mom or dad’s lap. I’m a little shy but I do make friends easy and usually greet newcomers with a smile and a butt wiggle.… Read more
